Glass Work
Glass beads have been made by hand for thousands of years. I follow ancient techniques using modern tools, in my case an oxygen/natural gas Nortel Minor torch. I melt glass rods over the flame and form and decorate them with metals, powders, and colored glass, or blow beads from glass tubing. My flameworked pieces are both sculptural and conceptual in design.
